Beautiful things hand crafted from whisky barrels and other reclaimed wood.

I am Sarah Wilson and I combine my experience as a graphic designer and love of woodwork and salvage to create items for your home or even to wear. As you can see in my photo I have even turned my hand to making a beard from whisky barrel oak and won the Braw Beard Championships 2019 Best Fake Beard category!
Tables, coat hooks and coasters for your home, jewellery to wear and custom items made to your specification, no job too big or too small. Working mostly with oak retrieved from Scottish whisky casks I also work with reclaimed scaffold boards, beech from School Gym floors (Junckers) and anything else I can save from being trashed.

Beautiful three tiered wedding cake on a hand burned oak board with date and coordinates of the wedding
Wedding cake board

My wedding cake boards are really something special. A full head from a Scottish whisky barrel is polished to show off all the stunning grain in the ancient oak before the date and coordinates of your wedding day are hand burned around the edge. At the lower edge I add a special icon just for you, this can be taken from the venue, your invitations or a place special to the two of you.

On the big day your cake stand proud on the oak board, creating a striking centrepiece that will have all your guests talking. After the celebration hairpin legs can be added to create a really special table that will last a lifetime and serve as a daily reminder of a wonderful day.

Other wedding items include custom coasters and bespoke signage.

Four trophies for Air Maiden women's mountain bike freeride festival held for ten years at Glentress in Scotland
Air Maiden Trophies

The trophies for Air Maiden were quite a challenge, all of my own invention, for some reason I don’t like to do things the easy way! Jaggy mountain peaks made from whisky barrel staves bonded together then carved from the back to create the iconic Air Maiden kicker. Each year Lynne gets women flying by launching themselves and their mountain bikes off the real thing!

On a smaller scale the trophies for the Network Danders Climbing series are small enough to fit in a (bigish) pocket but big enough to sit on your shelf so you can display it with pride!
